Townships in South Africa by Anne Rearick

In the place that is South Africa today, I have found beauty and struggle and all the contradictions of being human.
A decade after the end of Apartheid, Anne Rearick has traveled to Souht Africa several times. Her work has taken her into schools, hospitals, churches, homes in the townships of Langa and Khayelitsha outside of Cape Town.

Dix ans après la fin de l’Apartheid, Anne Rearick s’est rendue plusieurs fois en Afrique du sud. Son travail l’a menée dans les écoles, les églises, les hôpitaux, et les maisons des townships de Langa et de Khayelitsha, dans la banlieue de Cape Town.

Her husband had beaten her with a plank because he was jealous.
