Agence VU
Dust Storm in Sydney
2009

Australia's desert sands were blown to the oceanside by winds travelling at 65 km/h. This is the first time since 70 years that such an event takes place.

On Wednesday September 23, 2009, a large stretch of Australia's East coast, including Sydney, was shrouded in red dust blown from the Outback desert. Oculi photographers Tamara Dean, Dean Sewell, James Brickwood and Nick Moir photographed this unreal red-tinted atmosphere.
