Rapa Nui, Easter Islands mysteries
2010

Located 4000 kilometres from Chilean coasts, lost in the Pacific Ocean, Easter Island gives shelter to ancient traditions and culture.

Rapa Nui, its real name, was rename by European explorer Jakob Roggeveen when he disembarked on Easter Monday in 1722.
Roggeveen wrote his astonishment at the 900 Moas, those 10 metres high basalt statues, which populate this volcanic island.

Those remains of an ancient civilization still fascinate the 40 000 visitors who come each years to given them a change of scenery and for the mystery surrounding this stone giants.

Easter Island is now runs by Chile, but the strength of Rapa Nuis traditions and culture still keep going through its arid plains.
